Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data the Delivery King Android app (package
com.vladlysak.deliveryking, "the App", "we") handles, why, and who it is shared with.
Delivery King is a route organizer: it sorts your delivery stops and hands navigation over to a
navigation app of your choice.
1. Data the App handles
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Delivery addresses you type, paste or scan | To find their coordinates and sort them into a route | Stored on your device. The address text is sent to the Google Geocoding API to get coordinates. |
| Photos you choose for address scanning | To read address text from labels or screenshots | Processed on your device with Google ML Kit text recognition. Photos are not uploaded and are not stored by the App. |
| Precise location (only if you allow it) | To show your position on the map and to start the sorted route from where you are | Used on your device only, and only while the App is open. It is not sent to us and is not included in geocoding requests. |
| Map view (which area of the map you look at) | To display the map | Map images are loaded from OpenStreetMap tile servers, which receive your IP address and the map area requested. |
| Destination of the selected stop | To start navigation | Passed to Google Maps or Waze (your choice) when you tap Navigate. |
| Routes, regions, settings, address cache | To keep your work between sessions and avoid repeated lookups | Stored on your device only. Cached coordinates expire after 30 days. |
2. Permissions
- Location (precise / approximate) — optional; used only while the App is open, never in the background. Without it the App still works, but routes cannot start from your current position.
- Display over other apps — optional; shows a floating button on top of your navigation app so you can return to your stop list. It does not read the content of other apps.
- Internet / network state — to geocode addresses, load map images and show when you are offline.
- Vibration — short haptic feedback on buttons.
The App does not access your contacts, SMS, call log, microphone or files. When you scan a photo, you pick it yourself through the system picker or camera.
3. Third-party services
These services process data under their own privacy policies:
- Google Geocoding API (Google LLC) — receives address text to return coordinates. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google ML Kit — on-device text recognition. ML Kit may send Google limited technical information (such as device and app information and performance metrics) to maintain and improve the service; it does not send your photos. ML Kit terms.
- OpenStreetMap tile servers (OpenStreetMap Foundation) — provide map images. OSMF Privacy Policy.
- Google Maps / Waze — when you choose to navigate to a stop, that app receives the destination.
- Google Play — app distribution and updates.
4. What we do not do
- No user accounts and no sign-in.
- No advertising and no advertising identifiers.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs operated by us.
- No sale or sharing of your data for marketing.
- No in-app purchases are offered at this time.
5. Data about other people
Delivery addresses usually belong to your recipients. They are kept on your device and sent to Google only to obtain coordinates. Please use the App only with addresses you are allowed to process for your delivery work.
6. Retention and deletion
Everything the App stores is kept on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your stops in the App, clearing the App's data in Android settings, or uninstalling the App. Because we do not keep your data on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our side. See Data deletion.
7. Security
Network connections use HTTPS. Data on your device is protected by Android's app sandbox.
8. Children
The App is a work tool for couriers and is not directed at children under 16.
9. Future paid features
The App is currently free. If optional paid features (for example subscriptions through Google Play Billing) are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated before those features become available, and the App's Google Play listing and data disclosures will be updated accordingly.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the App's release notes.
